Community Narrative- Part A/ Start of Individual Project -Part B: (Week 3)

For the first part of my individual project (Part B), I met with Franz Arevalo and did an interview with him about his life and what communities he was involved with throughout a two day process.

When we first started the interview, he was not shy at all but was very open to answering every question I had whether it be a bit more personal or not. But during the first visit of the interview, I started with more simpler questions to get to know him more as well as told him about me too. I did this so that he would feel comfortable with me talking to him about things that may be hard to share later on. The second interview, I started to ask more deeper questions so that I could find his story and what he is all about from his past experiences till now.

I knew Franz through church but only knew of him but we weren’t too close. I chose him because I was curious about hearing his story. I wanted to find out about the ‘man behind the muscles.’
