Strengths:

• Ratatouille is part of Pixar which is a well known/ famous computer animation company which has produced many other Oscar winning animations like The incredibles, Toy Story series and more well-known and or nominated animations.)

• The movie is family friendly as anyone is able to watch the film. (Larger demographic.)

Weaknesses: (Internal- can control)

• Popularity decreasing (IMBd)
• Most of the voice actors are old – not as well known. (But not sure if the younger demographic care too much about who the voices are- might be more applicable for older demographic in terms of who the voice actors are?)
• Well known with mid to older generation (born before 2007). But some kids know it too.

Opportunities:

• Old film (2007) but can be revived in terms of transmedia.
• Old film but classic memes.

Threats: (External- can’t control)

• Old film (2007) Could be watched by many to the point where some people don’t want to watch it anymore and or might not be interested in it anymore since it was created back in 2007.

Reflection: I think that after having some research about my film using the SWOT analysis, I think that there are more positive things in terms of expanding my film to create intermedia as the main weaknesses and threats are to do with age demographic and it’s popularity but I will have to research this further and will do.
