Possible Interview Questions: (Week 2)

List of possible Questions to ask:

For the questions, we individually started to think of some possible questions we might want to ask for the interview in regards to AUT South campus. With the questions, we mainly focused on questions about our experience at AUT South. For the video, we mainly wanted to showcase our experience not only as an AUT South student, but as a Design student at AUT South (since we are all Design students.) Although, we thought of this, we did not want to remove the focus which is about AUT South.

Moreover, we also included questions that involved our earlier experiences and our assumptions from when we first started just to get a bit more insight about what AUT South is like.

Questions we decided to ask as a group per person:

1. Why did you choose to study at AUT South/ Design at AUT South?
2. What makes AUT South unique/ and or stand out (from other universities or campuses- not sure about this part yet.)
3. What is your favourite part about the campus?
4. What does community mean to you and or AUT South?
5. Can you remember what your first day was like?
6. What were your first thoughts or feelings about joining/ studying at AUT South.
7. and how has your perspective changed since then?
8. OR How has AUT changed your perspective on Design?
9. If you could describe AUT in one word or in 3 words, what would they be?

(Side note: We won’t be asking all of these as we’ll be editing in our answers to these questions. Also, we’ll see if it fits within our time frame.)

My own answers to these Questions:

• Why did you choose to study at AUT South/ Design at AUT South?

I chose to study at AUT South because it offered the degree that I wanted to do which was Design. Also, I heard a lot of good things about the campus, its environment, its people and the sense of community that this campus has.

• What makes AUT South unique/ and or stand out (from other universities or campuses- not sure about this part yet.)

Like I said before, I think the campus is quite unique due to the feeling of community that this campus offers. Because of the smaller size of the campus and amount of students that attend, it does feel more intimate.

• What is your favourite part about the campus?

My favourite part/s about this campus is the landscapes; the natural atmosphere. I also really appreciate South campus’s natural environment; It’s nice to be surrounded by greenery and flowers. helps me to calm down a bit when I’m doing work.

• What does community mean to you and or AUT South?

Community means to share and to involve people; To come together as one, which is something I too admire about South Campus; It’s diversity and acceptance of people.

• Can you remember what your first day was like?

I was quite nervous coming into a new environment, but at South I was taken well care of by my lecturers, my peers as well as the friends I made along the way.

• If you could describe AUT in one word or in 3 words, what would they be?

Diverse, accepting, accommodating (Extra: Community/ Family, friendly.)
