Surveys into Charts: (Week 4-5)

The two bar charts above are a basically a summary of the gender and the age of those who decided to answer a poll on my Instagram. Out of those who answered, I then categorised them into gender and into age groups to figure out what my potential users would look like. From looking at the charts, the people that are answered were mainly female and my biggest age demographic is aged 16-20 years old but also 21-25 years of age following behind.

But in saying the data could have been very different considering all my followers did not actually answer this poll (for approx. 81 people answered the people.) Moreover, my account is private so I could have collected more data from people outside of my friend group/ people I know or people who follow me.

Here was the percentage of people who liked the film Ratatouille.

After having tracked my potential users and knowing the age demographic, I then created a survey. Through that survey, I was able to gain some insight into what my potential users are looking for and wanting from Ratatouille. Out of the survey, I gained three wants and types of expansions that my potential user want in terms of expanding this film into something else. The three main extensions were all food related such as a cafe, recipe app or book and entertainment such as a game. From this, I decided to develop an app revolved around food as this is one of the main ideas shown throughout the film. For further research, I want to do a quick questionnaire to get more insight on what this app could look like and what it could include.
