Ratatouille survey:
(*Side note: I had highlighted the parts that answered the questions as well as were most important.)

From this survey, I found that this person admired the feeling that this film gave them. It gave them a sense of nostalgia which links to the idea and feeling of memory. This person values time and may seem like a busy person as he says he does not like watching videos as it takes up his time but doesn’t rule out the fact that he would watch it again.
Also, something that I found most interesting was him bringing up nostalgia as this is something I get watching this film too. What he also wanted to see out of the film if it was extended was interesting to think about too. As a 15 year old boy, I would have expected him to say games but instead seemed like he was more interested in seeing a recipe app/ book and or a food series. Adding onto this, I also remembered that this boy likes cooking which is probably why this was his answer.
- Film gives him nostalgia.
- Film is linked to a good memory and experience for him.
- Brings you to France.
- Doesn’t really like watch videos too much. – Takes up time, busy person, values time.
- Would like to see a Cafe come out of this film and or a recipe book, an app with recipes or even a food tv series.

This person admired the message the most from this film and was something that stuck with her even until her age now. Thinking about it, the message of this film is very encouraging and uplifting to viewers which is something I want to showcase when thinking about what expansion I might want to do for the potential users.
- Liked the message of film and learnt from it.
- She would watch it again.
- Seeing as this film involved food a lot, she too said she would want a recipe book due to her curiosity of the visuals of the food throughout this film.

- Liked the visuals and aesthetics
- Ridiculous storyline but made sense.
- Wouldn’t go out of way to play/watch anything from Ratatouille.
- Recipe book

- Might purchase a recipe book but not a game or app. (So I’m assuming they would like it if it was free.)
- Liked the comedic parts of the film.

- Concept of friendship.
- Would like to see any sort of expansion like a game, recipe boo or even an app.
- Foo looked pleasing.
- Nostalgic feeling
- Good message

- Concept of family.
- Recipe book. Therapeutic
Overall findings and reflection: After surveying a few people from the people who voted that they liked this film, there was a lot of similarities to people’s answers, especially when it came to expanding this film but there was also a few differences. I think that a pattern I could see between the people that took the survey was that, they all wanted to see a recipe book or app. Something that related to food. It was interesting to see that most of them weren’t looking for a game which is something that I assumed most people would have looked for since the visuals are great and the film itself is quite adventurous and has an interesting and unique storyline.
Another thing similarity that I noticed between the answers was the feeling that this film gave them; A few people mentioned the nostalgia that this film brought them. Also, they liked the message behind the film- never give up on your dreams/ passions despite challenges you’ll face, the concepts of friendship and family. As cliche as the film’s message sounds, people liked it and was still encouraged by it and played a role in why this film was successful and why viewers liked it.
Reflection: After having surveyed a few, I feel like I could have asked a bit more questions and possibly more about their likes and interests, as they could have also helped me to understand their wants, needs and possibly expectations from this film. I could possibly still do this just for follow up questions, but I think the answers they gave me is still gave me more of a perspective as to want my potential users look like and what they want and may even need.
